When the tears ran down my cheeks you wiped them gently away.

When I lost my patience with the world you shared your own with me.

When I behaved badly you understood and did not condemn.

When my spirit drooped and began to fall you helped lift it back up.

When my confidence in myself ebbed, you helped me guide it back.

When my faith in life began to fail you shared yours with me.

When my lips did not want to lift you touched them with a smile.

When my soul ached in longing you rocked the pain away.

When my heart could not be comforted you held it closely until it began to heal.

When the night began to fall and I was afraid you helped me find the light.

When I needed a hand to hold you reached yours out and clasp mine tightly.

When I needed a hug to lighten my day you put your arms around me and squeezed.

Thank you.
